**New York Times Bestselling series!**

Reaching for sunlight…

Finn survived the ambush and came home to me, but in his head, the battle is still raging. He’s falling apart and I’m trying my best to pick up the pieces of him, to find the us we used to be. I love him as much as I ever did, but love isn’t enough to fix this. I thought telling my father about our relationship would be the hardest thing we’d ever have to face. I was wrong.

Lost in shadows…

All I wanted was to be worthy of Carrie. One mission, just one, and I’d be able to give her the future she deserved. Then everything went wrong, leaving me tainted and broken. Carrie wants me to be who I was, but all that’s left is what they made of me. I’m no good for her. No good for anyone like this. I have to figure out how to move forward. Alone.

Sometimes love isn’t enough…

Out of Mind Out of Line #3 edition by Jen McLaughlin Literature Fiction eBooks

In an effort not to spoil this experience for everyone who loves Finn and Carrie and wants to enjoy every minute of their journey, I'm going to keep my review short, sweet and simple.

Oh the emotions! I'm pretty sure I went through every one possible while reading this book. Out of Mind had tons of ups and downs, as you can probably guess from the synopsis. After being injured in the line of duty, Finn's in a dark place place and he's pushing away the person he loves most in the world. His pain was evident on nearly every page of his chapters. Carrie is trying to help Finn, but preserve herself. She's at a complete loss of what to do. Riley's lurking in the background and I had some strong suspicions about him, but I ended up being pleasantly surprised by him. Carrie's father plays a larger part in this book, and while I had my doubts about him based on some of his words and actions in the previous books, I have to be honest and say that I really liked him in this book.

It was easy to get lost in Carrie and Finn's world during this book. I was completely immersed in their love, confusion and pain. Out of Mind deals with some pretty harsh realities and does it in a way that I found both informative and respectful. It absolutely breaks my heart to think about the number of soldiers who come back from service having seen some of the gruesome realities Finn faced in this story. I can only hope each of them has a support network to help them cope.

Jen McLaughlin is a genius. I have mad love for this series and these characters. Out of Mind is an emotional, tumultuous and absolutely perfect conclusion to a series I have loved since I read the first page of Out of Line.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Out of Mind Out of Line #3 edition by Jen McLaughlin Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

This book couldn't have been any more perfect... I have anticipated books before only to be a little disappointed in the finale cause it didn't measure up.. Well this one was exceptional! I won't be one of those to rehash the whole story line because if you read Out of Line and Out of Time you already know the real deal,is Carrie and Finn. I loved the addition of Riley to shake things up a bit but he remained in his place and remained not much of a factor as I'm glad he was! Now as for how Mc Laughlin was able to not only pull you into the world we know as Finn and Carrie's love but a truth that gets glossed over time after time and that is taking care of our people who go off to war, to any assignment that ends in a losing battle all the way around whether you lived or died.. Seeing Finn go through what he went through abroad and then again at home.. Broke my heart.. It hurt even worse to see Carrie try and do everything she possibly could to help but couldn't HELP.. I got scared for a moment and thought my HEA ending wasn't going to happen the way the book was headed but Mc Laughlin brought us back right where we belong! ;-) Way to wrap up a series! She has become one of my favorite authors by far! If you are reading this and trying to figure out to get this or not.. One click now! But get the WHOLE series! This was amazing! Thank you Jen Mc Laughlin! It was a pleasure to read and I will reread this again!
I have read the entire series Out of Line, Out of Time and now Out of a Mind. I adored this series and Ms McLaughlin saved the best for last.

Carrie and Finn are such a sweet, complete couple. In this book Finn has come back from war severly injured, the sole survivor of his unit. He is guilt ridden, remorseful, and still struggling to recover from his injuries. Finn is suffering from PTSD, trying to adjust to civilian life, and failing. He is living with Carrie's parents, and Carrie is trying to care for him, brilliantly I might add. She is loving, kind, patient, just plain adorable in her devotion to Finn. Finn and Carrie love each other completely, but Carrie's self sacrificing, unconditional love for Finn is quite admirable. Finn tries to be appreciative of Carrie's care, but he fails more often than not. I thought the author handled a wounded warrior very honestly; the good and bad. I thank her for that.

My heart broke for Finn dealing with his PTSD , I got teary eyed when Finn had to deal with a heartbreaking, life altering event After his injuries. It wrenched my heart out ., I just wanted to reach through my kindle and hug him. Finn is now truly broken, and he pushes Carrie away, breaking her heart in the process.

Time passes, Carrie tries unsuccessfully to move on, possibly with another man, but can't get over Finn. Finn hitting rock bottom, decides to get his s<%# together, and wants .Carrie back. What ensues is good old fashioned wooing.

I don't want to give away the ending, but the reader will be happy. Great series. I will read more reform this author.
