I'm still in the process of reading this book -- it's quite large, but thorough. I've been looking for a Systematic Theology that reads easily and yet gives all the foundational principles, and this one so far is perfect. I have Berkhof's Systematic Theology on my kindle, along with A Body of Divinity by Thomas Watson, and both are wonderful as far as content, but I found them somewhat dense and difficult to read.Boice, Berkhof and Watson all take a Reformed Theology point of view.
My husband has Wayne Grudem's Systematic Theology on his kindle, and although Grudem is Reformed, he takes the position that the charismatic gifts of the New Testament are still in operation today, which most Reformers -- including Calvin -- disagree with.
I bought this used in hardcover book form; the kindle version would have been "physically" easier to read!

I ordered this work for our students in Haiti because it is so accessible and readable, which these students desperately need. Dr. Boice did us all a favor when he left us this work. For the beginner to Reformed Theology, this is a must.
I am a James Montgomery Boice fan! I have always appreciated his scholarship and Christian integrity. I also appreciate the fact that his writing - and his preaching - is never an opportunity to showcase three+ syllable words. Mr. Boice's language makes any of his sermons and any of his books available to anyone who hungers to grow in Christian truth!
A great resource for considering theological foundations in order to give an account of what ones Christian beliefs are. I am in the middle at book 2 and have already gained in my perspectives by reading this book. The depths of thought on topics like the attributes of God. That God does not change because He is already perfect fits in with truth and faithfulness of God.
